Do You Zumba? 

Zumba is an exercise program that incorporates Latin and Salsa dance steps into an hour of fun aerobics. You’re not even sure you are exercising—the routine is fun and energizing!

Zumba counts toward the 150 minutes a week of moderate aerobic activity, or 75 minutes a week of vigorous aerobic activity, recommended for most healthy adults by the Department of Health and Human Services.

NROC offers Zumba twice a week FREE to Northgate residents. Zumba typically costs $25 to $35 per class. It's worth checking out!

  • When: Every Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:00
    • Please wear loose clothing and sneakers
    • Bring a water bottle

As a Zumba instructor, I am grateful to have this amazing job and thankful for the opportunity to reach, touch and change lives every day!! No, it is not always easy, but what an honor and a privilege it is. Through my classes I try to show what I feel through my actions: supporting others, encouraging others, staying after class to talk to that person who really needs a friend, giving that hug to that person who desperately needs it, telling the person who is discouraged to not give up. All of this takes something. It takes time, it takes energy. But it can be our way of saying…thank you… and that is what Zumba is all about. Zumba is the perfect combo of fun and fitness that offers individuals a way to work their body through high and low intensity moves that strengthens your core and burns those calories. It targets your whole body as you move to the music and have a fun time with those around you while building the confidence and strengthening the body as a whole.
